SASSA Will Take Services to Fernie Neighborhood

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently browsing the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services for the community.

SASSA will be rendering companies for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency reported it truly is alarmed in regards to the higher range of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The purpose in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the large range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no thoroughly functional office devoted to service the area daily. The provider level developed for intervention encounters a significant influx of prospective beneficiaries, that makes it tricky to the Workplace to attend to all people who check out a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, sassa status SASSA will mobilise more methods to allow the servicing of all customers and raise access to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
